Corgar Lake. Ballinamore. Co. Leitrim
Corgar Lake is one of the many lakes located near Ballinamore. It is a relativley small lake but is frequently fished by visiting anglers . There are heavy banks of reeds surrounding the lake with fishing platforms placed along the shore.
I had driven past the lake early the previous morning and saw that a mist was slowing clearing from the lake surface. I had missed the sunrise but I knew that the mist would have intensfied the colour when the sun was low in the sky so I made sure I was at the lake before sunrise the next morning.
A slow shutter speed was essential so I was ready with both tripod and shutter release cable. The colours were stunning and changed quickly as the mist rose from the lake.
It was one of those mornings when everything fell into place.
