Friendly Fox
It,s been tough lately trying to plan a landscape shoot with our predictable overcast weather so I decided to upload a few shots I got of a very accomadating fox. Last October I was returning to my car after hiking up a local mountain . I was about to leave when I spotted this young fox on the side of the laneway.
Normally when something like this happens you get your camera ready and slowly open the car door and the fox or hare or whatever it may be runs away . But this fox was in no hurry and was I think both hungry and curious. I had half a sandwich left in my bag so with my camera in one hand and sandwich in the other I slowly approached.
It could,nt have been easier.
I spent over an hour photographing and feeding him and getting to within about 2 metres of him. I guess he was part tame but I could,nt figure out why as there were no houses nearby . In the end I was the one who left and as I drove away he was just sitting there watching me .
