I  have  photographed  Garadice  Lake  many  times  but  never  had  a  fishing  boat  and  sunset  together. Every  detail  was  reflected  in  the  lake  and  nobody  was  in  a  hurry.  Another  one  of  Leitrims  hidden  corners.

First Light. Mullaghmore Beach. Co. Sligo

I  have  visited  Mullaghmore  many  times  and  usually  end  up  taking  photographs  of  the  fishing  boats  in  the  harbour  or  I  take  a  drive  out  round  the  headland  to  see  how  Classiebawn  Castle  looks.
This  time  I  wanted  to  get  a  shot  of  Mullaghmore  Beach.I  left  home  at  a  ridiculous  hour  and  had  the  road  and  the  beach  to  myself.  I  knew  that  the  sun  would  be  rising  behind  the  Dartry  Mts  and  lighting  up  the  full  length  of  the  beach.  For  a  while  It  looked  like  the  cloud  was  not  going  to  break  but  in  the  end  I  got  more  than  I  hoped  for.The  shafts  of  sunlight  were an  added  bonus.
